The Green County Highway Department will be starting sealcoating the week of July 20.  This is where liquid asphalt is sprayed on the road and covered with loose gravel.  People are asked to be aware of work zones and to use extra caution when traveling on these roadways.  Loose gravel signs along with advisory reduced speeds are posted at the beginning and ends of each road along with intersecting roadways.  Paint chips and cracked windshields are considered road hazards and are not covered under county insurance but rather by each individuals insurance.
